In 100 days, we successfully implemented a project planned for three times longer implementation time

What was our task?

Magento is a ready-made system without personalized customization – but thanks to integration with the ERP system, orders are transferred to the internal system and then processed. We processed the integration of the platform with carriers – on a dedicated frontend, not a ready-made template, to meet customer requirements.
The challenge posed by our client, Coccodrillo – a children’s clothing brand – initially seemed impossible. A deadline and only 3 months to design a dedicated store layout, install and integrate with the client’s new Microsoft Dynamics ERP system. A successful go live took place on December 31, 2019 at 11:59 p.m., on the latest version of Magento – 2.3.

We made it. How is this possible?

Initial goals

“We are looking for a proven developer who is able to plan the implementation and be available as well as organize the team and work to launch a new e-store within 3 months, this year!” – these words were said at a meeting with Coccodrillo in October 2019. New Year’s Eve 2019 as a project deadline, time pressure and huge mobilization of the crew on both sides! In this way, the project was considered a huge challenge, because the final deadline for integrating the platform with ERP was set on the last day of the year, due to the change in the invoicing system from January.

We had 3 months to design, thoroughly test and then successfully implement a new platform with a working system.

How did we manage to achieve this?

  1. Vast experience – several dozen completed projects and a flexible approach to customer service allow us to optimize implementation time and eliminate errors to a minimum.
  2. A team of specialists – well-coordinated, interdisciplinary teams and great communication make the implementation within 100 days and the New Year’s Eve deadline realistic for us! The involvement in the project from three sides (the supplier, i.e. Fast White Cat, the customer Coccodrillo and the ERP team) made the entire process much easier.
  3. Flexibility – we adapt tools and teams to the type of challenge, in this case, the time pressure was huge, so the teams were strengthened to successfully implement the project!

Fast White Cat is a reliable Partner! Experts full of commitment, ready for the most difficult challenges.

We held talks with several entities who were unable to meet the deadline. Despite the time pressure and the complexity of the project, we were able to celebrate the New Year together and our customers could buy their favorite Coccodrillo styles in a new version.

How it works, i.e. the effect

Satisfied customer and great team satisfaction! In 100 days, we managed to design a dedicated layout, transfer as many as 3 language masks (PL, CZ, SK) along with the products and content of the operating online store, and implement integration with the new ERP on the Magento 2.3 version.

Development?
